My husband and I had a wonderful hike yesterday at Garrapata State Park which is located approximately 6.5 miles south of Carmel on Highway one. After our hike we decided to reward ourselves with drinks and appetizers at Rocky Point Restaurant located about 3 miles south of Garrapata. We couldn't have ordered a more beautiful day as we relaxed at the outdoor terrace at the Restaurant. The prices at this scenic establishment are very steep, but this is somewhat standard for a remote location with awesome views (they have a decent "early bird special" from 5pm-6pm if you want to save some money). Our service was adequate but the magnificent views put us in a constant state of gratitude. If you're in the mood to relax at the outdoor terrace with drinks and appetizers and awe-inspiring views, then take a nice drive down the coast and try the Rock Point restaurant.
