Friar Tucks Restaurant

Friar Tucks is not a posh, fancy restaurant and they don't claim to be, but what you'll get from this quintessential Carmel neighborhood diner is a good hearty home-style meal and friendly service. Don't be surprised if Greg or Cynthia, the owners of Friar Tucks, attentively checks to see if your meal was prepared properly and ends up sitting down at your table engaging in a friendly conversation. Open every day for lunch and dinner. Just in case you're a fan of the thick fluffy pancakes like me, Friar Tuck's serves the thinner Swedish style pancakes.  I prefer to eat there for lunch where the prices are very reasonable for Carmel.  They call their burgers the "3 napkin variety" because they are seriously big and juicy.  My favorite is the Guacamole Bacon cheeseburger for $6.50 served with fries or a salad.  Yummy!!!
