Point Lobos State Reserve

Point Lobos was once a Whaling station in the mid 1800's and is situated on the rugged Central California coastline.  This scenic state preserve features plenty of hiking trails, plants, wildlife, marine mammals, kelp forests and butterflies.  Point Lobos is rich in culture and history and is a must stop for locals and visitors alike.  Absolutely one of my all time favorite coastal parks.  Point Lobos has been so well preserved you feel as if you stepped back in time as you enter this scenic park.
