Salumeria Luca Italian Deli and Bakery

I stopped by Salumeria Luca Italian Deli and Bakery in Carmel yesterday for their grand opening.  There were lots of curious patrons surveying the warm and open atmosphere and the high ceilings and hardwood floors added to the dynamic setting.  I tried a sample of the spicy Salami which was a bit too pungent for me and decided to order the grilled Campania paninni with melted Fresh Mozzarella, Heirloom Tomato, Rucola, Basil and flavorful aioli sauce.  For being only the tenth sandwich served it was absolutely mouthwatering. The staff was very friendy and accommodating.  Thumbs up!
