If you're in the mood for fresh, authentic Japanese food in the Monterey Peninsula area, then you'll want to try Ichi-Riki located on Del Monte Avenue in Seaside. We have been dining at Ichi-Riki for over 15 years and it has never disappointed. This lively establishment could probably use a fresh coat of paint or some updating at some point, but in my opinion the old building adds to the fun, upbeat atmosphere. The portions at Ichi-Riki are very generous and the sushi is always very fresh and flavorful. If raw fish is not your thing, the menu also includes a wide range of cooked items. A few of my favorite menu items are the Hamachi, Unagi, Salmon and Ahi sushi. The Miso Soup is also a must have.
