Casanova Restaurant

Whenever a Carmel visitor stops me on the street and asks for a recommendation for a "great, romantic place for dinner," the Casanova restaurant always comes to mind first.  This cozy bistro is located in converted rustic Carmel cottage on 5th Avenue between Mission and San Carlo and offers dining indoors or outdoors underneath the stars (if it's not foggy).  This is usually a restaurant I go to for special occasions because I know I won't be disappointing with the menu consistency, service and ambiance.  Casanova's has been serving sumptuous, diverse French and Italian regional cuisine for over 40 years. The mouth watering spinach gnocchi is simply out of this world and bursts with flavors. A sample menu might include the fresh Ricotta Ravioli, Grilled Lamb Chops and last but not least the Linguini alla Scapesce with lobster, scallops, mussels & shrimp.

  1. I love going to Cassanova for lunch. They have a wonderful selection and the prices are very reasonable.
