Sobranes Point Canyon Trail is situated about 7 miles south of Carmel on the west side of highway 1 (accross from the Whale Park Trail). The trail head of the Canyon trail is located on the east side of scenic highway 1 just across from the Sobranes point whale trail on the west. This is a wonderful year round trail meanders into the the canyon and winds through cactus gardens, creek beds and a lush redwood forest. A rustic farm building with a corrugated metal room marks the beginning of this moderate 3 mile trial. You'll want to allow 2-3 hours for this out and back trail.
